Academics is seeking a passionate Primary SEN Teacher for a mainstream primary school in Newham, East London. The role involves delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and collaborating with SENCOs, therapists, families and staff to support pupils with additional needs.

The ideal candidate will have QTS, SEN experience or qualifications, and a patient, nurturing, resilient approach to help pupils achieve EHCP outcomes and holistic development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across the Primary curriculum.
  • Differentiate lessons to meet diverse needs.
  • Create a positive, structured classroom environment.
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional and communication development.
  • Implement individual learning plans and work towards EHCP outcomes.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt as needed.
  • Collaborate with support staff and professionals.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
  • Promote independence and life skills, maintain high expectations.
