Strategy Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join a small nurture provision in Newham, East London. You will teach a focused group of around 8 Year 11 students with additional needs within a highly personalised programme and a nurturing, primary-style learning environment.
The role demands strong SEN experience, the ability to differentiate and tailor the curriculum, and collaboration with specialist support staff to support students' academic, social and emotional development.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and nurturing SEN Teacher to join a secondary school in Newham, London, supporting a small group of approximately 8 Year 11 students with additional needs.
The students do not follow the mainstream curriculum and instead access a highly adapted, personalised programme within a nurturing, primary-style learning environment. Although they are aged 15, many students are working significantly below age-related expectations, with some accessing learning at a primary level.
The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering core subjects through a highly differentiated and individualised approach, adapting learning to meet the students' developmental stages, abilities and specific needs.

Primary-trained teachers with strong SEN experience may be particularly well suited to this role, given the primary-style approach and level of curriculum adaptation required.
The successful candidate will be supported by other specialist colleagues, so this is not a standalone role.
Due to the urgent nature of the vacancy, the school is ideally looking to arrange trial days early next week, with the current teacher due to commence maternity leave imminently.
