Job summary

Ambition Community Trust is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs at Greswell Primary School on a fixed-term contract until 31 August 2027. The role is 30 hours per week, term-time only, with pro rata salary for SCP 7-10 (£26,403 - £27,694 FTE). Start date: 4 January 2027.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions and help pupils access the curriculum, develop skills and integrate with peers.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a primary setting.
• Commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.
• Ability to work effectively with teachers and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support for pupils with SEND to access the curriculum.
• Deliver targeted interventions and promote pupils' independence and confidence.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to remove barriers to learning and support social, emotional development.
