Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is partnering with a Primary Alternative Provision in the Blackpool area to recruit a dedicated Pastoral Support Worker for Key Stages 1 and 2.

You will provide 1:1 and small-group mentoring to pupils with SEMH, helping them regulate emotions and re-engage with learning while safeguarding follows KCSIE guidelines. Role is full-time, Monday to Friday, with long-term supply and potential Temp-to-Perm.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEMH, trauma or challenging behaviour.
• Willingness to undertake Enhanced Child Workforce DBS and Update Service.
• Able to work 1:1 and in small groups with empathy and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily emotional support, check-ins, and mentoring to vulnerable pupils.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques aligned to needs.
• Assist staff with alternative, creative and life-skills based learning activities.
• Safeguard pupils and follow school policies and statutory guidelines.
