Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment in St Albans, Hertfordshire, is seeking an experienced Pastoral Leader for an Alternative Provision. The role focuses on SEMH support for KS3-KS4 pupils aged 11-16, with a daily rate of £95-£120 and ASAP start.

You will manage onboarding, behaviour support, safeguarding, liaise with staff and carers, and help pupils engage in lessons. Experience as TA/HLTA or Behaviour Mentor with strong behaviour management is preferred; primary experience considered.

• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and carers.

Responsibilities

• Safely welcoming pupils and supporting their day.
• Assist with breakfast, transition to lessons and attendance.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group pastoral support.
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour management.
• Communicate concerns to the wider team and liaise with parents/carers.
• Support safeguarding and pupil welfare.
