Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. partners with a progressive Alternative Provision in Lancashire, seeking a Youth Mentor / Pastoral Worker to support 11–16-year-olds with SEMH needs. ASAP start, term-time school hours, full-time long-term supply to permanent.

You will build relationships, provide emotional support, and help students re-engage with education and vocational paths, while upholding safeguarding and collaborating with Tradewind consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged youths.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and resilience skills.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 and small group mentoring with students.
• Deliver targeted pastoral interventions for emotional regulation.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches to manage crisis points.
• Support teaching staff during lessons and activities.
• Uphold safeguarding procedures and collaborate with external agencies.
