Job summary

Connex Education is recruiting for Primary & Secondary SEND Teacher roles in Bristol. We offer flexible supply positions across day-to-day and long-term placements, with competitive daily pay (£160–£250) and weekly PAYE.

You will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 1–4, adapt for SEND needs including autism and SEMH, and work alongside teaching assistants and therapists to support individual learning goals. QTS required.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Have experience working with children or young people with SEND, either within specialist or mainstream settings.
• Are confident adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.

• Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a variety of special educational needs, including autism, SEMH, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and wider multidisciplinary teams to support individual learning outcomes.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals to ensure the best possible educational experience.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, wellbeing and achievement whilst promoting confidence and independence.
