Marchant Recruitment is seeking a reliable Site Supervisor for a Primary School in Gloucestershire. This full-time, permanent role focuses on maintaining a safe, well‑kept school site and supporting events and daily operations.

You will open/secure the site, coordinate contractors, and keep detailed maintenance records, reporting issues promptly. The ideal candidate has previous site supervision or facilities experience, practical maintenance skills, and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

• Previous Site Supervisor, Caretaker, Maintenance or Facilities experience
• Good practical maintenance and repair skills
• Understanding of basic health and safety procedures
• Ability to identify potential hazards

Responsibilities

• Complete daily inspections of buildings and grounds
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance
• Identify and report larger maintenance requirements
• Support planned preventative maintenance programmes
• Coordinate and monitor contractors
• Ensure contractors follow site procedures
• Assist with health and safety checks
• Monitor fire safety equipment and emergency procedures
• Check doors, gates, windows and access points
• Assist with opening and securing the school
• Move furniture and equipment when required
• Prepare rooms for assemblies and school events
• Monitor outdoor areas and playgrounds
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Respond promptly to staff requests
• Report hazards and defects appropriately
