Job summary

Smile Education are recruiting for an experienced School Site Manager to start in September at a Primary School in the Tamworth area. The role involves opening and securing the site each day, carrying out maintenance and repairs, and ensuring safety and compliance within a school environment.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Site Manager, Caretaker or similar role, with strong DIY skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Open and secure the school site daily.
• Carry out general maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained.
• Support compliance and health and safety requirements.
• Identify and report maintenance, security, or health and safety concerns.
• Carry out general caretaker and facilities duties as required.
• Support upkeep of grounds and buildings.
• Manage day-to-day site tasks efficiently.
• Use initiative to resolve minor maintenance issues.
• Work with staff to ensure smooth site operations.
• Must undergo DBS and compliance checks.

Responsibilities

• Open and secure the school site each day and manage daily access.
• Carry out general maintenance and repairs as required to keep facilities functional.
• Ensure school premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
• Support with health and safety compliance and documentation.
• Identify, report and address maintenance, security or safety concerns promptly.
