Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated Primary School Learning Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in North Tyneside from September 2026. This varied full-time role supports children throughout the school day, both in the classroom and through targeted intervention sessions.

You will help pupils build confidence, develop new skills and achieve learning goals, assist teachers with activities and lesson preparation, and help create a safe, inclusive learning environment for

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
• Patient, reliable and enthusiastic.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to the needs of different learners.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Deliver planned intervention sessions for individuals and small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Support children with a range of learning abilities and additional needs.
• Encourage independence, participation and positive behaviour.
• Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
