Job summary

Milk Education are working with a welcoming primary school in Shepherds Bush who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team from October. This is a classroom-based role supporting pupils with their learning and working closely with the class teacher throughout the school day.

The role involves supporting pupils during lessons, providing one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils access the curriculum and encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is essential.
• School or classroom experience is desirable.
• Patient, positive and approachable.
• Confident supporting children with different abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and complete learning activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
• Assist the class teacher with resources and daily classroom routines.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and support their independence.
