Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant for a primary school in Wandsworth. The role starts in September and involves supporting pupils academically and socially, both in lessons and wider school activities.

You will work closely with the class teacher to reinforce learning, build confidence, and promote positive behaviour. The ideal candidate will have experience with children, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Patient, supportive and approachable.
• Confident working with pupils of different abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to follow instructions while also using initiative.
• Reliable and enthusiastic.
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Provide additional support where pupils are struggling with their learning.
• Promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Support pupils during wider school activities and routines.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
