Job summary

Milk Education are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Pimlico from October. You will support pupils during whole-class teaching and tailor assistance to individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.

Ideal candidates have a caring, patient, energetic approach, strong teamwork, and reliable, proactive communication to help children succeed in English, Maths, reading and writing activities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• Primary school or classroom experience would be advantageous.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Confident supporting individuals and groups of pupils.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and proactive.
• Passionate about helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils during whole-class teaching and independent learning.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce classroom learning.
• Support English, Maths, reading and writing activities.
• Assist pupils with completing classroom tasks.
• Help prepare and organise learning resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good classroom routines.
• Support pupils to develop confidence and independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and wider school team.
