Job summary

St Mark's CE School in Southampton is seeking a dynamic Teaching Assistant to join its Primary Phase. You will connect directly with pupils, helping them access the curriculum, prepare learning materials and run classroom activities.

You will support children with a range of needs, maintain high standards of organisation, and use IT to enhance digital learning within the school environment. We aim to nurture each pupil's emotional and educational development.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with children, staff and parents.
• Good organisational skills and reliability in a busy school environment.
• Ability to use IT for digital learning and classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• To assist teachers in providing a learning environment that enables all children to access the curriculum and learn to the best of their ability
• To work with and support children with a variety of academic, physical and emotional/behavioural needs on a class, group or individual basis
• To work with and support an identified child with specified academic, physical and emotional/behavioural/medical needs on an individual basis if required
