Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant for a friendly primary school based in Fair Oak, Southampton. You will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with small group work, 1:1 support, and assist with trips and playground duties.

The role offers a full-time schedule, Monday to Friday, with a daily rate of £92.63 and potential for permanent appointment after vetting and training.

Qualifications

• Experience as Learning Support Assistant or similar education support role is essential
• Experience with SEN is beneficial
• Calm, resilient and flexible in a team to support pupils in KS1 or KS2
• Passionate about supporting children's learning and development
• Confident working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils
• Able to build strong, nurturing relationships with pupils and staff
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in KS1/KS2 through small group activities
• Provide 1:1 support and targeted assistance
• Assist with school trips, playground and lunchtime duties
• Collaborate with the class teacher to meet individual learning needs
