Job summary

Academics is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Southampton. You will support classroom activities, help promote educational and social growth, and assist in delivering inclusive learning.

Key duties include planned PPA cover, group interventions, and collaborative work with teachers. A Level 4 HLTA or Level 3 ST&L is desirable and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational setting.
• Qualifications such as Level 4 HLTA or Level 3 ST&L highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; patient and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Support in primary school settings across the whole school.
• Provide planned PPA cover and leadership release time.
• Deliver group interventions to support pupils' learning.
• Create a positive learning environment and work collaboratively with staff.
