Job summary

Lift Montgomery Primary in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the classroom, work with individuals and small groups, and deliver targeted activities. You’ll help build confidence, independence and a positive learning environment, collaborating with teachers and SEND staff to ensure every child succeeds.

The role is full-time (32.5 hours per week) with a fixed-term end date of 31 August 2027 and start as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, particularly within a primary school or educational setting would be beneficial.
• You’ll share our commitment to ensuring that every child receives an excellent education and feels supported as they achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning within the classroom, individually and in small groups.
• Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning.
• Deliver targeted activities and interventions to help pupils make progress.
• Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND colleagues and the wider school team.
• Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
