Job summary

Lift Montgomery Primary in Birmingham is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the school. You will work with teachers and colleagues to deliver high-quality support, helping individuals and small groups access learning and build independence.

You will foster positive relationships, contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom, and support safeguarding and pupil wellbeing throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, particularly within a primary school or educational setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils and colleagues.
• Willingness to adapt approach to meet diverse needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning within the classroom, individually and in small groups
• Work closely with teachers to support the delivery of engaging and inclusive learning
• Deliver targeted activities and interventions to help pupils make progress
• Support pupils in developing their confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Build strong and supportive relationships with pupils
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND colleagues and the wider school team
• Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils at all times
