Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant with strong intervention experience to support schools from September 2026. The role involves 1:1 and small-group work, focusing on Reading, Phonics, Maths and Writing to close learning gaps.

The ideal candidate will have Level 2/3 TA qualifications or relevant experience, with recent UK primary school exposure and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Long-term and permanent opportunities on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering targeted interventions to close learning gaps.
• Recent UK primary school experience is essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions.
• Supporting pupils with Reading and comprehension.
• Delivering phonics and early reading support.
• Supporting Maths and numeracy interventions.
• Helping pupils develop writing skills.
• Identifying and supporting gaps in learning.
• Adapting activities to individual pupil needs.
• Monitoring progress and feeding back to teaching staff.
• Supporting pupils with SEND where required.
• Building confidence, independence and engagement.
