Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting an experienced Teaching Assistant for a Sutton Coldfield school. The role focuses on phonics delivery and targeted interventions, supporting a KS1 class with pupil progress tracking.

The post starts in October and ends in July 2027, with possible extension if the fit is right. The successful candidate will join a small, supportive team, seeking someone nurturing and patient who can help raise pupils' self-esteem and foster lifelong learning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in KS1 is essential.
• Phonics knowledge and ability to deliver interventions.
• Strong tracking of pupils' progress and supporting the class teacher.

Responsibilities

• Teach phonics and deliver targeted interventions for pupils needing extra support.
• Support the class teacher with planning and tracking pupil learning.
• Monitor and guide pupils who require additional help to build confidence and skills.
• Contribute to a nurturing, patient classroom environment.
