Job summary

Mount Pleasant Primary School is seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term basis.

You will provide high-quality cover for teachers and teaching assistants, and be deployed across the school as needed to ensure pupils continue to receive a positive, purposeful and consistent learning experience. HLTA level or above and SEND experience are highly desirable for this role.

Qualifications

• HLTA level or above.
• Experience of supporting pupils with SEND.
• Strong understanding of teaching and learning within a primary school environment.
• Experience of working effectively with children in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cover for teachers and teaching assistants when staff are absent.
• Be deployed across the school according to daily needs and priorities.
• Support pupils to access learning with positive, consistent approaches.
• Maintain pupil behaviour and contribute to the wider life of the school.
