Job summary

Randstad Education in Crawly and surrounding areas invites applications for Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistants. You will work with teachers to deliver engaging activities, support reading, phonics, and numeracy, and provide 1:1 help for children needing SEN support.

Choose from flexible full-time, part-time, or daily cover blocks and receive competitive PAYE pay weekly. DBS enhanced clearance is required or in progress; this role offers a stepping stone toward PGCE/QTS in local

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, or clubs.
• Positive, adaptable mindset with strong interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to complete).
• Right to work in the UK and availability across Crawly area.

Responsibilities

• Partner with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Run targeted reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions.
• Deliver 1:1 assistance to children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs.
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment where every child is supported.
• Assist with lesson prep, displays, and break-time monitoring.

We are recruiting energetic Primary Teaching Assistants to support staff and inspire pupils across Crawly. From child‑led play in Early Years (EYFS) to foundation skills in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and SATs prep in Key Stage 2 (KS2), we match you with primary settings that fit your schedule and goals.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering with primary class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and keep pupils on task.
• Running targeted reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
• Delivering dedicated 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs).
• Fostering a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported.
• Assisting with lesson prep, creative displays, and break‑time monitoring.

Who We're Looking For:

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care).
• A positive, adaptable mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
