Job summary

Randstad Education in the UK is recruiting Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistants to work across Crawly and surrounding areas. Flexible hours are available for full-time, part-time, or daily cover with weekly PAYE pay.

You will support children from Early Years through KS2, running reading, phonics and numeracy booster sessions, and providing 1:1 SEN support. An Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required, with DBS Update Service preferred.

• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care.

Responsibilities

• Partner with primary class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and keep pupils on task.
• Run targeted reading, phonics, and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
• Deliver 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs).
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported.
• Assist with lesson prep, displays, and break-time monitoring.

• Relevant experience supporting children or young people (in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, coaching, or care).
• A positive, adaptable mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
• Right to work in the UK and reliable access to schools throughout Crawly.
