Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking Primary Classroom & Learning Support Assistants to support staff and inspire pupils across Crawly and surrounding areas. Roles include EYFS through KS2 support, with opportunities for full-time, part-time, and daily cover, paying £85–£105 per day via PAYE.

Ideal candidates have experience with children, strong English/Maths basics, and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one). Immediate start and term-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people in schools, nurseries, youth clubs or care settings.
• Enhanced DBS registered on Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good proficiency in core Primary English and Maths.
• Right to work in the UK and access to local Crawly schools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with primary class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and keep pupils on task.
• Lead targeted reading, phonics and numeracy booster sessions with individuals or small groups.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 assistance to children with SEN (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment for all pupils.
• Assist with lesson prep, displays and break-time monitoring.
