Job summary

Haberdashers' Academies Trust South is seeking an experienced Class Teacher to support teaching and welfare of pupils in KS1/KS2, aiming for progress toward academic targets while driving writing across the school.

Under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher, the successful candidate will raise standards, manage classrooms effectively and contribute to Provision Mapping and Assess-Plan-Do-Review cycles, with a 32.5-hour week commitment.

Qualifications

• Do you have knowledge or experience of working with children with ASD/ADHD/Attachment difficulties?
• Can you evidence a proven track record of raising educational standards?
• Do you hold an Honours' degree with QTS?
• Have you completed training on Provision Mapping and Assess, Plan, Do, Review cycles?
• Can you demonstrate a good understanding of classroom management techniques and the ability to maintain a positive and focused learning environment?

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Class Teacher who will support in the teaching and welfare of children to ensure our pupils make appropriate progress in KS1/KS2 through attaining their academic targets whilst driving Writing within the school. Working under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher, the ideal candidate must:

• Have sufficient understanding of their area of expertise to support the development, learning and progress of pupils during KS1/KS2


• Must have achieved a nationally recognised teaching degree


• Understand the objectives, content and intended outcomes for learners activities in which they are involved


• Be responsible for driving writing within the school


• This role is for 32.5 hours per week.
