Working within Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin Training Hub, hosted by NHS Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin ICB and operating within a wider ICB cluster, the post holder will support the planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of a range of initiatives that contribute to workforce transformation and service improvement.

Working closely with the Training Hub Manager and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, the role will involve coordinating meetings and events, maintaining programme documentation, tracking actions and project progress, supporting reporting and governance processes, and assisting with financial and contract administration. The post holder will help ensure effective communication, stakeholder engagement and the smooth delivery of Training Hub priorities.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated individual with excellent communication, administrative and IT skills. The successful candidate will be able to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, work independently and collaboratively, and build positive working relationships across organisational boundaries. A commitment to continuous improvement, inclusion and supporting the development of the primary care workforce is essential.

Main duties of the job

The Primary Care Training Hub Project Support Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of workforce development programmes across primary and community care.

Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, the post holder will coordinate a range of project and administrative activities, helping to ensure programmes are well planned, effectively communicated and delivered to agreed objectives.

The role involves supporting stakeholder engagement, organising meetings and events, maintaining accurate records and project documentation, monitoring progress against key actions, and assisting with reporting, governance, financial administration and quality improvement activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across the ICB, wider Integrated Care System partners and external organisations to support workforce transformation priorities.

We are looking for an individual with excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach, combined with a commitment to collaboration, inclusion and continuous improvement, will be essential to success in this role.

About us
  • Improving outcomes in population health and care
  • Tackling inequalities in outcomes, experience, and access
  • Enhancing productivity and value for money

Please note that the Cluster ICB has consulted with its workforce on changes to contractual base locations and hybrid working arrangements and is implementing a consistent hybrid working model across the Cluster. The new arrangements are intended to support closer and more collaborative working across the Cluster ICB, through a consistent approach to hybrid working and the use of designated office locations.
