NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Integrated Care Board
The closing date is 17 November 2026
The publication of the Governments 10-Year Health Plan: Fit for the Future sets out an ambitious agenda for the health of the population and for the NHS. As part of that ambition, it makes clear that every system requires an Integrated Care Board that will function as the strategic commissioner of local health services, responsible for all but the most specialised commissioning, using multi-year budgets to drive improvement. This means ensuring that the money available to our local health and care system is put to the best possible use: to improve the local population's health, reduce health inequalities and improve access to consistently high-quality services.
The NHS needs commissioners who can better understand the health and care needs of their local populations, who can work with users, providers and wider communities and partners to develop strategies to improve health and tackle inequalities and who can contract with providers to ensure consistently high-quality, safe and efficient care. Improving access and waiting times, in particular against NHS constitutional standards, will continue to be core indicators of whether population needs are being met.
To provide effective and administrative support to the Corporate Services team, ensuring the smooth and professional delivery of directorate activities ensuring all priorities and deadlines are met.
To provide a professional reception and front-of-house service for members of the public, ICB staff and external stakeholders, ensuring a courteous and helpful approach that supports good customer service and positive working relationships.

The new arrangements are intended to support closer and more collaborative working across the Cluster ICB, through a consistent approach to hybrid working and the use of designated office locations.
Receive and handle internal and external telephone calls on behalf of the organisation, taking accurate messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate directorate or member of staff in a timely manner.
Welcome and assist visitors to the ICB, informing the relevant member of staff of their arrival and directing them to the appropriate office or meeting room as required.
