Job summary

Stockport Medical Group is seeking an Operational Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Reception and Administration Teams, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred services. You will partner with the Practice Manager to deliver operational leadership across the practice and ensure resources are deployed effectively.

The role requires strong people management, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a thorough understanding of General Practice and NHS Primary Care operations.

• Significant experience in Primary Care or NHS settings.
• Proven operational management experience.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation of Reception and Administration Teams to ensure safe, efficient, patient-centred services.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment and staff development.
• Manage employee relations, attendance and performance processes in line with policy.
• Oversee administrative systems and processes to improve efficiency and patient experience.
• Produce and analyse performance data to support decision-making and service improvement.
• Support projects and changes to enhance practice performance and governance.
