The Humbleyard Practice is seeking an experienced healthcare assistant to support our nursing team. The role is offered on a full-time or part-time basis and may require travel between our three Norwich-area sites to assist the nursing team.

Key duties include phlebotomy, ECGs, urine testing, specimen handling, health interviews, and referrals. We encourage involvement in health promotion activities and ensuring patient privacy and dignity at all times.

Formación

• Strong clinical skills and safe patient care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload.
• Comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good organisation and time management for busy primary care settings.

Responsabilidades

• Perform phlebotomy and venous/INR near patient testing.
• Conduct urine testing and sample handling per protocol.
• Obtain specimens and dispatch to the lab.
• Perform ECGs and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out health interviews for new registrations and other patients.
• Make appropriate referrals to doctors and health/social care professionals.
• Support health promotion activities and lifestyle guidance.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of examination spaces.
