Job summary

The Humbleyard Practice is looking for an experienced healthcare assistant to support our nursing team across three Norwich sites. This is a full-time role at 37.5 hours per week.

Main duties include phlebotomy, blood pressure checks, urine testing, ECGs, health interviews for new registrations, referrals to doctors, and assisting in health promotion activities. Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
• Phlebotomy/venepuncture qualification preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and patient-facing abilities.
• Experience in primary care or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Respectful, confidential approach to patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and near-patient testing.
• Take blood pressure, urine tests and handle samples.
• Promote health and wellbeing and health promotion activities.
• Undertake health interviews for new registrations.
• Refer patients to doctors and other professionals.
• Maintain stock, clean equipment and prepare rooms.
• Assist in training and adapt as needed.
• Deal with patient queries and route to doctor if necessary.
