Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics across Newarthill. The role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support to help deliver safe, efficient patient care.

You will conduct routine observations, assist with clinical tasks, and help maintain smooth patient flow within organised GP clinic environments. Flexible sessional and long-term opportunities are available across regional locations.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
