Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics throughout Birchburn. This role offers a mix of routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general support duties within well‑organised GP clinic environments.

You will contribute to safe and efficient patient care by carrying out observations, assisting with clinical tasks and helping run the daytime clinic smoothly. Flexibility across weekday, evening or weekend shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
