Job summary

Locum Ready is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to support regional GP clinics across Pittenweem. The role combines routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support in busy primary care environments.

You will conduct routine observations, assist with clinical tasks, support day-to-day running and help maintain smooth patient flow across shifts including weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident with routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
