Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics including Cwmllynfell. The role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures, and general support within GP clinic environments.

You will contribute to safe and efficient patient care by carrying out observations, assisting with clinical tasks and supporting day-to-day clinic operations. Flexible sessional and long-term opportunities are available across regional locations.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations.
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained.
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems.
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Helping maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
