Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics in Slamannan. This role involves routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

You will perform routine observations, assist with clinical tasks and help run the clinic day-to-day. The position offers flexible sessional and long-term opportunities across GP clinics with varied shifts, including evenings and weekends where required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant experience in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident in routine patient observations.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to adapt to new clinics and workflows.
• Phlebotomy experience beneficial.
• Enhanced DBS checks are required or beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conducting routine clinical observations.
• Supporting treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Performing ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assisting with phlebotomy where trained.
• Recording information accurately in clinical systems.
• Providing general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Helping maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
