Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support regional primary care clinics throughout Millom. The role combines routine clinical tasks, patient-facing procedures and general clinic support in NHS-style GP environments.

You will carry out observations, assist with clinical tasks and help run the day-to-day operations of the clinic, contributing to safe patient care and smooth patient flow across shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience as Healthcare Assistant in GP, community or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine patient observations.
• Effective communication and organisational skills.
• Phlebotomy experience is beneficial.
• Must have Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine clinical observations.
• Support treatment room tasks and basic procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy where trained.
• Record information accurately in clinical systems.
• Provide general assistance to nursing and clinical teams.
• Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
