Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is recruiting Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners to support children in primary settings across Bristol. Roles include 1:1 work, small intervention groups, or classroom presence to help pupils engage, learn, and thrive academically and socially.

Ideal candidates have experience with SEMH/SEND or challenging behaviour, combined with calmness, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people in a high‑support environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour (school or alternative settings)
• Calm and patience, even in high‑pressure situations
• The ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils
• Resilience, empathy, and genuine passion for supporting young people

Responsibilities

• Providing consistant routines and boundaries
• Recognisng triggers befroe situations escape
• Building positive relationships that help children feel safe, valued and ready to learn
• Using positive behaviour strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement
• Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to help every pupil succeed
• Celebrating the small wins, because they often become the biggest breakthroughs
