Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking a Multi-Modal Pricing Specialist to join its team in Egham. The role focuses on preparing quotes across air, ocean and road freight, pricing imports/exports/cross-trade movements and negotiating competitive rates with airlines and hauliers.

You will support sales and operations while maintaining margins and profitability. Based on-site in Egham, the successful candidate will have solid pricing experience in freight forwarding and a strong commercial mindset to deliver

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations across air, ocean and road freight.
• Price imports, exports and cross-trade shipments across multiple international markets.
• Work with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers and other carriers to obtain and negotiate rates.
• Build relationships with carriers and suppliers to stay commercially competitive.
• Analyse freight costs, margins and market rates to keep pricing attractive and viable.
• Support sales and operations with spot rates and customer quotes.
• Respond quickly and accurately to pricing requests within timescales.
• Negotiate rates with suppliers and identify margin improvement opportunities.

Salary: £35,000 - negotiable for the right experience

The Opportunity

We're currently working with a well-established international freight forwarding business that is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Multi-Modal Pricing Specialist.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of freight forwarding pricing who enjoys working across air, ocean and road freight and has the commercial awareness to deliver accurate, competitive and commercially viable quotations.

Based on-site in Egham, you'll play an important role in supporting the wider commercial and operations teams, ensuring customers receive competitive pricing and effective freight solutions across a range of international movements.

The Role

As a Multi-Modal Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate and competitive quotations across air, ocean and road freight.


• Pricing import, export and cross-trade shipments across multiple international markets.


• Working closely with airlines, shipping lines, hauliers and other transport carriers to obtain and negotiate competitive rates.


• Building strong relationships with carriers and suppliers to ensure the business remains commercially competitive.


• Analysing freight costs, margins and market rates to ensure pricing is both attractive to customers and commercially viable.


• Supporting the sales and operations teams with spot rates and customer quotations.


• Responding quickly and accurately to pricing requests and ensuring quotations are produced within required timescales.


• Negotiating rates with suppliers and identifying opportunities to improve margins and overall profitability.

About You

We're looking for someone who already has solid freight forwarding pricing experience and is comfortable working across multiple modes.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in a freight forwarding pricing / quotations role.


• Strong knowledge of air, ocean and road freight.


• Experience pricing imports, exports and cross-trade movements.


• Confidence dealing directly with airlines, carriers, shipping lines and hauliers.


• Strong rate negotiation and supplier management skills.


• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate quotations under time pressure.


• A commercially minded approach, with an understanding of costs, margins and profitability.
