Job summary

Flutter UK & Ireland is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for the Pricing team to drive experimentation, modelling and pricing optimisation across Paddy Power, Betfair, Sky Betting & Gaming brands.

You will lead data science capabilities, coordinate cross-functional pricing projects, and mentor senior data scientists while delivering actionable insights to commercial teams in a hybrid UK-based role.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a data science function in a commercial/customer-facing domain.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Experience with experiment design, sampling, control vs test groups, and front-end changes.
• Experience in sophisticated statistical modelling (regression, clustering, time series, A/B testing).
• Excellent documentation and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and mobilisation of data science capabilities for pricing experiments and modelling.
• Analyse experimental data and derive actionable insights to inform pricing strategy.
• Coordinate setup and definition of pricing experiments and ensure robust trial outputs.
• Build systems to monitor high volumes of price experiments and track key metrics.
• Document methodologies and results for transparency and reproducibility.
• Present findings to stakeholders and tie insights to business objectives.
• Collaborate with commercial, finance and product teams to align data insights with goals.
• Lead and mentor senior data scientists and foster their career growth.
