Job summary

Blue Zoo Production seeks a Previs Supervisor to collaborate with the Director and CG teams on feature animation sequences. You will visualize from storyboards, prototype assets, and refine camera work to support lighting and FX. Strong Maya skills and a good eye for pacing are essential.

You will work in a flexible hybrid/remote setup with a start around November 2026 and responsibilities across multiple departments to ensure consistent quality and storytelling rhythm.

Qualifications

• Must have strong Previs experience with a track record in feature animation.
• Solid layout and camera animation skills are essential.
• A keen eye for pacing, timing and composition.
• Good understanding of real-world cameras and cinematography.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Maya is required.
• Familiarity with CG pipelines and production workflows.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Self-motivated, creative problem solver with the ability to adapt to changing directions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director and Animation Supervisor to create sequences from storyboards.
• Plan staging in 3D layouts with blocks of characters and camera.
• Prototype assets in Scene and provide feedback to asset departments.
• Refine cameras during animation and assess shot continuity.
• Coordinate with Lighting and FX to understand shot impact.
• Establish character blocking and camera movement.
• Ensure consistency of quality, style and continuity across shots.
• Act on notes from the Director and Animation Supervisor.
• Adapt to creative changes throughout the project.
