Job summary

Blue Zoo Production is seeking a Mid Lighting and Compositing Artist to create lighting scenes in Maya, finesse colours in compositing, and balance high quality with deadlines. The role is based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, and flexible, hybrid or remote options are discussed.

Start dateMid October 2026. You will collaborate with the Lighting & Compositing Supervisor and Team Lead, manage time efficiently to meet shot deadlines, and contribute to the overall look and pipeline

Qualifications

• Experience with Maya & Nuke in lighting and compositing workflows.
• Solid knowledge of lighting and rendering concepts for stylised animation.
• Familiarity with Python scripting and shading workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create lighting scenes in Maya using assets from animation and effects to finalize shots.
• Fine-tune light rigs, render setups and compositing templates to meet the required look and deadlines.
• Monitor renders to stay within render time budgets and communicate with leads.
