Accept Recruitment is sourcing an experienced Press Brake Setter for permanent night shift work in the East Midlands (Nottingham area). The role involves setting up CNC press brakes from scratch, selecting tooling and folding parts to tight tolerances with minimal supervision through the night.

You will read engineering drawings, verify tolerances, and perform first-off and in-process checks. The position offers a night shift premium, overtime, and site facilities including parking and PPE.

Press Brake Setter - Nights - East Midlands - £14.00 to £16.00 per hour plus night shift premium - Permanent

Accept Recruitment is working with an established sheet metal and engineering manufacturer in the East Midlands to recruit experienced Press Brake Setters for their night shift.

This is a hands‑on setting role, not just operating. You'll set up CNC press brakes from scratch, choose the right tooling and fold parts to tight tolerances with minimal supervision through the night.

The Role

• Setting up CNC press brakes for each job, including selecting and fitting tooling
• Working from engineering drawings to fold parts in a range of materials and thicknesses
• Making adjustments and program changes to hold tolerances
• Carrying out first-off and in-process checks using verniers and angle gauges
• Keeping to the production plan and flagging any machine or quality issues
• Supporting the wider fabrication team when needed
• Following site safety and quality procedures

What You'll Need

• Proven experience setting CNC press brakes, including tooling selection
• Confidence reading engineering drawings and working to tolerances
• Experience folding a range of materials and thicknesses
• A sharp eye for detail
• The reliability and self‑motivation to work independently on nights

Desirable

• Experience on Amada, Bystronic, Trumpf or similar machines
• Counterbalance forklift licence
• Crane or lifting experience
• A background in sheet metal or fabrication

What's On Offer

• £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Night shift premium on top of the hourly rate
