Job summary

Vertiv is hiring a Presales Thermal Application Engineer for the UK & I team. You will identify customer requirements, review RFQ, and evaluate best solutions balancing performance, budget and timeframes. Close collaboration with engineering and sales is expected to secure winning bids.

The role demands deep knowledge of datacenter thermal management, experience with high-density deployments, and the ability to present complex thermal chains to diverse stakeholders across EMEA.

Qualifications

• Engineering background or equivalent with field experience.
• Datacenter experience focusing on High Density applications.
• Understanding of Uptime Institute Tier levels and thermal management.
• Fluent English written and verbal.
• Strong IT skills and customer/sales orientation.

Responsibilities

• Develop technically and price competitive cooling solutions with internal/external partners.
• Provide pre-sales support for proposals, quotes and tenders.
• Explain the full thermal chain from servers to heat rejection.
• Create and review application drawings, specs, and electrical layouts.
• Share design proposals with Product Management and engineering for improvement.
• Provide product and application training to EMEA AE community and Sales.
• Support WT activities and factory visits.
• Attend in-person client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with ITC regulatory program.
