Job Description

As a Presales Solutions Consultant, you will be a leading technical authority delivering high-quality, credible technical responses that drive new business, improve win rates, and support revenue growth. You will collaborate closely with the Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure that technical proposals align with client needs and business objectives.

Key Role Responsibilities
  • Technical Proposals and Advisory: Contribute to and oversee the creation and review of technical responses (e.g., RFPs, RFIs); support the Sales team in customer meetings to drive outcomes; and provide strategic advisory to our customers to grow the business. Ensure proposals are technically accurate and strategically aligned, working with the bid coordinator for formal processes.
  • Development of New and Evolving Offerings: Collaborate with CTO, sales, marketing, and delivery teams to develop new offerings and refine existing solutions. Ensure sales and marketing collateral is current, relevant, and aligned with market needs. Position offerings effectively to resonate with clients and differentiate Simpson Associates.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Training: Stay updated with the latest technical developments, products, and industry trends. Share knowledge and development opportunities with the team to enhance their skills.
  • Outreach, Promotion, and Representation: Support promotion activities through webinars, our monthly forum, YouTube channel, and website contributions. Assist at events such as roundtables, hackathons, and conferences.

To be considered, you must demonstrate capabilities in the following areas:

Consulting
  • Experience in requirement gathering and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Ability to explain complex analytical concepts in non-technical language.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the commercial impact of technology solutions, ensuring proposals meet customer objectives and ROI considerations.
Technical
  • Experience with technologies such as Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Purview, MDM solutions, and Integration solutions.
  • Experience in domains like Advisory, Infrastructure & Security, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Analytics, Data Science & AI, Application Development, and Managed Services.
Project Delivery
  • Experience leading project delivery, planning, and execution.
  • Experience in effort estimation and supporting project pricing.
  • Ability to structure and phase project plans based on available information.
  • Understanding customer roles and responsibilities for project support.
  • Recognition of risks and assumptions in project planning.
