Job summary

Vertu Land Rover Exeter is looking for a skilled Prep Technician to join its award-winning aftersales team. You will prepare premium vehicles to exacting standards in a state-of-the-art workshop, delivering an outstanding customer motoring experience built on trust and quality.

The role requires a recognised automotive qualification, prior prep/vehicular technician experience, your own tools and a full UK driving licence.works a 41-hour Mon–Fri week with potential 4k bonus package.

Qualifications

• A recognised automotive qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Prep Technician.
• Your own tools and a full UK driving licence.
• Strong eye for detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Work in a fast-paced workshop, achieving productivity targets with right-first-time quality.
• Maintain exceptional standards and contribute to customer motoring experience.

We are offering abasic salary of up to £35,551, depending on skills and experience, based on a41-hour Monday to Friday working week, alongside an additionalover-performance bonus opportunity.

To welcome you to the business, we're also offering an outstanding£4,000 bonus package, including:

£2,000 Sign-On Bonuspaid in Month 1

£2,000 Retention Bonuspaid in Month 13

About the Role

As a Prep Technician, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer motoring experience built on trust, quality and attention to detail.

You will be responsible for carrying outPre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs)on both new and used vehicles, ensuring every vehicle is prepared to the highest standards and fully compliant with manufacturer requirements before reaching the customer.

Working within a fast-paced and professional workshop, you'll be expected to achieve agreed productivity targets while maintaining exceptional levels of quality and ensuring a right-first-time approach to every vehicle you prepare.

To succeed in this role, you'll ideally have:
