Job summary

Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay at 22 Bishopsgate is seeking a Prep Chef to join the team. You will take ownership of preparing and cooking daily family meals for the team, ensuring freshness, variety and adherence to dietary needs.

You will also support the wider kitchen with early prep and maintaining top food hygiene standards. You should have experience in professional kitchens, a passion for food, and a strong understanding of allergen safety, time management and teamwork in fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen, ideally premium/high-volume environments.
• Passion for food and cooking for people.
• Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Positive, hands-on team player who contributes in busy periods.

• Prepare and cook family meals for the team each day, ensuring freshness and variety.
• Plan and prepare daily family meals with dietary requirements in mind.
• Show creativity with ingredients to minimise waste.
• Ensure family meals are nutritious, high quality and on time.
• Support the wider kitchen team with daily prep and ready ingredients for service.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene and kitchen organisation.

Lucky Cat is one of five unique Gordon Ramsay Restaurant experiences at 22 Bishopsgate and Europe’s tallest restaurant - Asian inspired small plates, Robata grills, sushi and sashimi, exquisitely crafted in the open kitchen and raw bar.
Located on level 60 at 22 Bishopsgate, Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay offers breath taking, unparalleled views across the city.

We are now looking for a Prep Chef to join the team at Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay at 22 Bishopsgate.

What you do as a Prep Chef:

• You will take ownership of preparing and cooking family meal for the team each day, creating fresh, varied and delicious food to keep our people fuelled throughout their shifts
• You will plan and prepare daily family meals, taking into consideration dietary requirements, allergies and preferences across the team
• You will bring creativity to family meal, making the most of available ingredients while minimising food waste
• You will take pride in creating high-quality, nutritious and delicious food for our teams, ensuring family meal is prepared and served on time
• You will support the wider kitchen team with daily preparation, ensuring ingredients are prepped and ready for service
• You will maintain the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, food safety and kitchen organisation at all times
• You will ensure your preparation areas are clean, organised and fully stocked throughout the day
• You will work collaboratively with the wider kitchen brigade, supporting the team wherever needed during busy periods
• You will play an important role in creating a positive kitchen culture by making sure our teams are well looked after and well fed

What you'll bring as a Prep Chef:

• You have previous experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally within a premium, high-volume or fast-paced environment
• You are passionate about food and genuinely enjoy cooking for people
• You take pride in creating great food for the team and understand the importance of a well-prepared family meal
• You are creative and confident cooking a variety of dishes for larger groups
• You are organised, reliable and able to manage your time effectively
• You have a good understanding of food safety, allergens and hygiene standards
• You are able to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities
• You are a positive, hands-on team player who is always willing to get stuck in
• You take pride in maintaining high standards and delivering consistently great food
