Job summary

White Raven Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Retail Store Manager for a premium retail brand in Castleford. You will lead a high-performing team, drive store performance, and deliver an exceptional in-store experience.

You will manage day-to-day operations, visual merchandising, stock control, and loss prevention while focusing on customer engagement and sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or leadership role.
• Strong people management and team development skills.
• A passion for retail, customer service, and achieving sales targets.
• Solid understanding of retail KPIs and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
• Experience with stock control and POS systems.
• Previous experience in fast-paced or premium retail environments.
• Awareness of retail market trends and consumer behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing store team to hit targets.
• Act as a role model on the shop floor and in back-of-house operations.
• Manage day-to-day store operations including visual merchandising and stock control.
• Analyse store performance and implement productivity improvement strategies.
• Deliver outstanding customer experiences using advanced sales techniques.
• Schedule staff rotas and manage training and performance reviews.
• Oversee HR processes including recruitment, onboarding and development.
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Handle customer queries and escalate where needed.
• Share insights with senior management for strategic actions.
