Are you an experienced Host / Hostess with a passion for delivering over & above guest expectations? This is the perfect role for you!

Chester Race Company are recruiting Hospitality Hosts / Hostess' for the 2025 racing season at Chester Racecourse! This role is exciting and varied, you will be the welcoming face of the brand, often being the first (and lasting) impression our guests have of Chester Racecourse.

If successful, you will be supporting the guest experience team in providing a memorable experience to all our guests, creating a day of escapism. You will play a pivotal part in our award-winning success through providing a world class level of service. You will work in a variety of venues at Chester Racecourse including our stylish and intimate hospitality venue PARADE.

General responsibilities include:

• Welcoming guests to our venue, being a point of contact for queries and a friendly face, as well as obtaining feedback
• Ensuring the smooth running of the hospitality venues assigned to you
• Seating your guests at their table and resolving any table plan issues
• Providing a world class level of guest experience within a hospitality setting
• Proactively going above and beyond, exceeding guest expectations at all times
• Ensure dining areas are clean and support hospitality staff with wine service, clearing, and resetting tables
• Ensuring a positive farewell to guests upon their departure
  
  

What skills and experience do we look for in our Hospitality Guest Experience Hosts?

• Previous experience as a host within the hospitality or events industry
• A good understanding of fine dining restaurant etiquette
• A genuine passion and commitment for providing a high level of guest experience
• A positive, approachable, and confident demeanour is a must
• Ability to put yourself out there and make our guests feel welcomed
• Problem solving and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
  
  

Our rates of pay (inclusive of holiday pay):

18+ £14.03 per hour

Shift availability:

Our shifts vary! You are in control of the hours you work via our staff app.

Race day shifts will be predominately evenings and weekends.

Join us in time to work at BOODLES MAY FESTIVAL 7th to 9th May 2025! Our biggest and best race meeting of the calendar year at Chester Racecourse. With 3 race days in a row this is a great chance to get lots of experience in the role and top up your wages!
