Soho House & Co. in Brighton is seeking a Bar Manager to lead the bar operation, delivering a world-class beverage experience for members and guests within the club.

You will oversee service delivery, staff management, product selection, and financial performance to keep the bar vibrant and profitable. You’ll develop and inspire your team, collaborating with Food & Beverage and Events to ensure drinks offerings—from signature cocktails to large-scale events—meet the highest standards and brand

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, through quickly and effectively problem solving under pressure
• Must be hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously

Responsibilities

• Drive exceptional service standards by developing and refining systems that enhance the experience for members, guests, and staff.
• Lead engaging training sessions on Soho House food and drink programs through storytelling, demos, and initiatives like “Cook House,” “House Tonic,” and “Club School.”
• Collaborate across departments to ensure every guest interaction is seamless, aligned with brand expectations, and delivered with consistency.
• Support recruitment efforts by identifying talent needs, participating in interviews, and evaluating candidates alongside People & Development.
• Ensure maximum revenue is achieved from all sales opportunities.
• To ensure cleanliness standards and procedures for the unit & their areas are in accordance with site, company and legal health and safety standards.
• Responsible for Mystery Shopper Reports and staff development.
• Actively participates as a member of the management team in decision making processes, attending required meetings, etc.
• Delegates work and determine beverage methods to staff throughout shift.
• Uphold and enforce standards of appearance, compliance, safety, and professionalism across the team.
