Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Pre-Construction Manager (Enabling & Earthworks Readiness) to lead readiness activities for Sizewell C enabling works. You will coordinate across programme, engineering, construction and commercial teams to ensure prerequisites are met before mobilisation.

The role requires extensive experience in major infrastructure projects, strong safety and environmental focus, and ability to manage multi-disciplinary interfaces within a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
• Professional membership in ICE, APM, CIOB or equivalent desirable.
• Significant experience in major infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
• Proven experience in pre-construction, mobilisation and project management roles.
• Experience managing sub-contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and readiness activities for enabling and earthworks.
• Interface between programme, engineering, construction, commercial, procurement and environmental teams.
• Develop, drive and manage readiness plans and cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor risks and ensure prerequisites for delivery are identified and managed.
• Oversee preconstruction team and interfaces and ensure safe, on-time mobilisation.
